Booking.com uses messaging security settings to help protect guests from spam, phishing, and fraudulent messages. Because of this, guest messages sent through Booking.com may only include email addresses that have been approved in the property’s Booking.com extranet.
To send Loopon survey invitations through Booking.com, you need to add a unique Loopon sender email address to your approved email addresses in Booking.com.
When this setup is needed
You need to complete these steps if survey invitations sent through Booking.com are blocked, removed, or not delivered to guests.
You may also see a message in the Loopon inbox from Booking.com explaining that an email address must be approved before it can be used in guest communication. If you receive a message like this, follow the steps below.
What you need before you start
Before updating Booking.com, contact Loopon Support and request a unique sender email address for your property.
Loopon Support will provide an email address that should be added to your approved email addresses in Booking.com.
Add the Loopon sender email address in Booking.com
- Contact Loopon Support and request a unique sender email address for your hotel.
- Log in to your Booking.com extranet account.
- In the main menu, go to Property.
- Select Messaging preferences or Messaging settings.
- Open Security settings.
- Complete two-factor authentication if Booking.com asks you to verify yourself.
- Go to Your approved email addresses.
- Click Add an email address.
- Enter the unique sender email address provided by Loopon Support.
- Save your changes.
Once the email address has been added, Booking.com should allow Loopon survey invitations to be sent to guests through their platform.
If you manage multiple properties
If you manage several properties in Booking.com, make sure the correct Loopon sender email address is approved for each relevant property.
Booking.com may also allow you to apply the same security settings to all properties in your account. Review the approved email addresses carefully before applying the setting across multiple properties.
Important to know
Only approved email addresses can be used in messages to guests through Booking.com. If an email address has not been added in Booking.com’s security settings, messages using that address may not reach guests.
If you add an entire email domain instead of a specific email address, Booking.com may allow all email addresses using that domain. For security reasons, we recommend only adding the sender email address provided by Loopon Support unless you have a specific reason to approve a full domain.
