Tripadvisor collects reviews from guests having visited a location.
Tripadvisor is not connected to the hotel PMS or restaurant booking system hence they do not receive the actual date of a visit. As a solution they ask the guest to select what month the guest visited or stayed by asking the guest to provide the month and year.
The checkout date is only available month level.
Loopon, that uses exact dates, will use the first of the month as the checkout date to provide a consistent date whenever an exact date cannot be provided.
Example:
If Tripadvisor displays the stay as "Dec 2024" then Loopon will assign the stay to "2024-12-01"
(the first day of the month).
